Q. Are MPD’s products RoHS compliant?

A. Memory Protection Devices has completed changing over all production to comply with EU RoHS directive 2002/95/EC, effective January, 1 2006.

75% of components produced after July 1 2005 are RoHS compliant. All production changed by January 1 2006 to comply with the RoHS laws in Europe.

 

Q.  Is all MPD inventory compliant now?

A. Please note that some old inventory is not compliant.

 

Q.  Is there an easy way for me to check on an items RoHS compliance?

A. The component drawing’s on this web site are updated with an RoHS comment when all inventory is compliant. Check the revision block on the top right and the drawings notes.

 

Q. How can I be sure to receive RoHS compliant product.

A. A small amount of old inventory is not compliant and if RoHS is required, please note it on your purchase order.

 

Q. What are the international harmonized Schedule B codes for MPD’s products?

A. Best to confirm with your licensed freight broker or exporter.

Q. What is the Commerce control list classification. 

A. We use the “NLR” designator that stands for no license required.

Some customers use the classification “EAR99”

Q. Does MPD produce it own products?

A. MPD’s products are produced using its own tooling that is located in a subcontractors facility.

 

Q. Are these subcontractors reviewed?

A. All subcontractors have achieved ISO and passed MPD quality audits.

 

Q. Does MPD have a quality management system and meet ISO standards.
